英语素来以背诵量多、知识点繁而不能博得学生的青睐。长期以来,学生也因此产生了两极分化的情况。如何打破这一局面,使学生能够轻松记忆呢?我在教学中做了些尝试。
牛津英语8A第一单元的Reading部分介绍了三位好友,文章篇幅较长,由三个小片段构成,学生在背诵时困难重重。于是,我在学生课前预习的基础上利用课堂时间安排学生的背诵任务。首先,我引导学生整体把握文章结构,以片段一为例。T:How many parts are there in this article? S: Four parts. First, introduction(介绍); second, appearance(外貌); third, personality(个性); fourth, future plan(未来计划).紧接着,我以提问的方式帮助学生从细节上把握每一部分的内容,并列出关键词。T: What does Kitty look like? S: She is taller than I am. She has a round face, a long nose and short hair. T: What kind of person is Kitty? S: She is generous and helpful. T:What does she want to be when she grows up? S: She wants to be a writer when she grows up. 同时,我把课文逐段分解,让学生依据关键词背诵,这样学生在背诵时就有据可循了。结果一节课下来,学生背得轻松,记忆得也较快。
从这个课堂案例中,我不禁受到启示:教师要善于捕捉学生学习中的难点,并利用课堂资源帮助学生化难为易。让朗朗读书声驻留在我们的英语课堂!
